In the late 1980s, when the Idas Group was founded, we looked at the meat industry and saw an unresolved packaging issue - how to stop the sharp bone from piercing the bag used for exporting meat cuts.

Working with the industry, we developed our own solution - bone guard trays. Machinery to produce these trays was not available at the time, so we made our own.

Innovation is a key driver here. Every product you see in this section of the website has been developed jointly with our clients, to meet a specific product need.
